Description

Extreme week is our original and most popular adventure tour.  You’ll sea kayak, trek on a glacier, learn ice climbing and explore the Alaska backcountry on this challenging trip.  Come ready to play hard!

Real expedition sea kayaking (not just a day trip), glacier trekking, ice climbing and backpacking .  A lot of variety without too much time on the road, covering Prince William Sound, Matanuska Glacier, and the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains.  Includes the comforts of Alpenglow Luxury Camping.

These are some of our toughest trips. You need not be a hard-core outdoors person or an athlete, and you do not need experience. But you do need to have above average fitness and be mentally tough to deal with the challenges of the Alaskan backcountry.

If you’re up for the challenge, your rewards will be great views, great memories and a real feeling of accomplishment.

Challenge Level: 4; Difficult backcountry travel on and off trail. May include snow, glacier and river crossings. Primitive camping. Read more about Challenge Levels.

No experience required but you must be over 18, in good physical condition and prepared for the challenges of the Alaska backcountry.
